Mozilla Service Week
Mozilla Service Week is coming soon, and fast. So it is time that I blog about the event and what I myself will be doing.
Mozilla Service Week is all about individuals and small groups of people making a difference by using the internet to better their community.
Mozilla believes everyone should know how to use the Internet, have easy access to it, and have a good experience when they’re online. By utilizing our community’s talents for writing, designing, programming, developing, and all-around technical know-how, we believe we can make the Web a better place for everyone.
Mozilla has a history of using the internet to make changes to the way we live in all kinds of amazing and wonderful ways. I mean com’on, since Mozilla Firefox came about there has been advancement after advancement in browser capabilities and so online applications have improved making data portability a reality and the cloud easier to use. When members of the Mozilla community decide to take action, well, lets put it this way… You do not want to get in their way 😃!
Mozilla Service Week may yet to arrive but some people have already been making a difference, and so I have decided to join in by creating a freely available guide that will be available online and in print. It will be all about how the internet can help you. So keep your eyes peeled and look for more on my service week activity!
